ARTS ADMINISTRATION

Artistic Direction with Scotch'n'Soda Theatre

General Management with Florida Studio Theatre

Teachers Assistant for Amanda Olmstead and Drama Ambassador

General Management Internship at Florida Studio Theatre

During Lillian's internship with FST, she became familiar with major union rulebooks and both the union/non-union contracting processes. She also provided additional support to management staff through organization, working on special events, and providing quality customer service
while ticketing in the box office and managing house in the theatres. Lillian discovered her love for crafting an efficient and sustainable workflow during her time with FST and looks forward to putting her new skills to use!

General Management

Artistic Direction with Scotch'n'Soda Theatre (CMU's Student Theatre Company)

As S'n'S artistic director, Lillian led the show selection process while mentoring creative teams in producing four full productions throughout the year and guiding the artistic identity of the organization. During this time she built skills in business-related artistic decision-making, practicing cultural competency in casting, mentoring solo artists and teams.

Lillian's most prized project from her time as artistic director was the inaugural season of Shot'o'Scotch, a joint reading series added on to the traditional four mainstage shows each year. This project is intended to provide a low-commitment opportunity for students to get involved with theatre, which can often have a barrier of time commitment. Shot'o'Scotch functions as a space for those who may have never tried theatre, as well as students who may not be able to commit to a staged production's rehearsal schedule.

Lillian is thankful to have built up experience in many jobs during her time at Scotch'n'Soda, as a dramaturg, performer, props manager, and social media manager. She hopes that the organization will continue to be a place for students with all levels of availability to experiment with various theatrical works.
